One Piece (Live-Action)
WARNING : This article contains freebooter for the One Piece anime .
Summary
One Pieceseason 1 brought a lot of anime characters into live - military action , but many of them will not appear in time of year 2 of the Netflix show ground on what happens in the source fabric . The globe ofOne Piecefeatures countless characters , from major players who shape Luffy ’s journeying to diminished but crucial name in the Straw Hats work presentation . Given howOne Pieceseason 1 ’s endingmatched the end of the East Blue saga , it can be assumed that time of year 2 will cover the events of the Arabasta saga .
One Pieceseason 2might have to make significant changes to the manga if it require to condense all of Arabasta into eight or even ten episodes . Fortunately , season 1 already evidence that it can be done . One Pieceis wide consideredNetflix ’s good bouncy - action anime adaptationbecause it reimagines the story for a newfangled data formatting while remaining faithful to the germ cloth . As such , many of the characters who do not appear during the anime ’s Arabasta saga might also not seem in time of year 2 of the live - action series .
8Monkey D. Garp
Luffy’s grandfather doesn’t appear during Arabasta
base on the beginning fabric only , Garp was not even supposed to be inOne Pieceseason 1.Garp dally no significant role during the events of East Blue in the manga , only by and by debut as a desktop role in the Diary of Koby - Meppo blanket tarradiddle . It is only much afterwards inOne Piecethat Garp is let out to be Luffy ’s grandfather , which is why it was so surprising to have him play such a important theatrical role in the first time of year of the Netflix serial . One Pieceseason 1 even had Garp be part of Gold Roger ’s execution .
Interestingly , while the events of Diary of Koby - Meppo technically pick up from whereOne Piece ’s very first arc provide off , these stories were only adjust much later in the anime . Regardless , Garp should play no role in the Arabasta saga either , at least based on the manga . That said , given how Netflix’sOne Piecehas already changed things to make Luffy ’s grandad an important player from the start , Garp might return in time of year 2 after all . His coming back could tie into the potential introduction of Monkey D. Dragon , Luffy ’s father , during Loguetown .
One Pieceanime is swarm on Netflix and Crunchyroll .
7Koby
Koby has already appeared way more than his anime counterpart
Much of what has been said about Garp applies to Koby . Although Koby plays an important function inOne Piece ’s curtain raising arc , Romance Dawn , he does not give to the story until hundreds of chapter afterward . Unlike the manga or the anime , however , Netflix’sOne Pieceseason 1 had Koby be part of the East Blue saga in its totality . Koby appeared in every sequence of the series and participated in all discharge , including Arlong Park . This was a major digression from the reference material , in which Luffy and Koby only reunify after Enies Loby .
One Piece time of year 2 ’s going date has n’t been herald yet , but it is not unmanageable to prognosticate which of the new fictitious character will make the most impact .
The reveal that Garp is Luffy ’s grandfather as well asKoby ’s reunion with Luffy only encounter in the anime after the Arabasta and Water 7 sagas . Therefore , if Netflix’sOne Piecewere to follow the structure of the anime , Koby should not be in time of year 2 . In fact , Garp and Koby should only show up in a possible season 4 . However , since much has already been changed for the hot - action adaptation of East Blue , it would make horse sense to have Koby appear in the next season , even if with a smaller role equate to time of year 1 .

6Helmeppo
Helmeppo should only return much later alongside Koby and Garp
From baddie to comic relief to somewhat of a hero , Helmeppo went through a sport character arc inOne Pieceseason 1 . However , much of that spark was not supposed to materialise that early , at least not on covert . Like Koby , Helmeppo ’s dangerous undertaking as Garp ’s recruit are only revealed after East Blue in the manga . In the anime , Helmeppo only returns C of episodes afterward when Garp ’s workforce encounter Luffy ’s crew postdate the events of Enies Lobby .
Season 2 could perhaps show Helmeppo and Koby ’s training under Garp even if they do not enter in the legal action .
This is when Helmeppo reunites with Roronoa Zoro , whereas in the bouncy - activity show they ran into each other twice after the first installment . Regardless of the changes already made to the story , Helmeppo has no involvement in the Arabasta saga . That said , if Garp come back inOne Pieceseason 2 , both Helmeppo and Koby will sure repay as well . time of year 2 could perhaps show Helmeppo and Koby ’s training under Garp even if they do not participate in the natural action .
One Piece follows young pirate Monkey D. Luffy and his diverse crew as they embark on a daring quest for treasure. Released in 2023, the film brings the adventurous world of the popular manga to life, capturing Luffy’s relentless pursuit of the legendary One Piece treasure.
5Dracule Mihawk
Mihawk only appears again during Sky Island
One of the bestOne Pieceseason 1 characters , Dracule Mihawk will not be in time of year 2 unless Netflix changes canon . Mihawk does not seem in the Arabasta saga and only render up again several arcs later . The only Warlord of the Sea featured during this saga is Crocodile , drawing card of the Baroque Works , who serves as the main baddie of the Arabasta spark . It should take multiple season for Mihawk to have an important persona in the story again .
If Netflix wants to keep Mihawk ’s theatrical role inOne Pieceas faithful as possible to the anime , the eccentric should not appear in season 2 .
Mihawk ’s introduction inOne Pieceseason 1 was very faithful to the Zanzibar copal , and most of his scenes in the live - action show come from the rootage fabric . If Netflix want to keep Mihawk ’s function inOne Pieceas faithful as potential to the anime , the character should not come out in time of year 2.Mihawk steal the show inOne Pieceseason 1 , though , so it may be hard to disregard the role altogether in the next time of year .
4Red-Haired Shanks
Shanks does not even appear in the anime that often
Even those who are caught up onOne Piecedo not see Shanks very often , which is why Luffy ’s idol should not be expected in season 1 . shank plays a very important role in Luffy ’s rootage report , particularly in the Windmill Village , as seen in the first brace of sequence of Netflix’sOne Piece . shank would then show up again at the end of season 1 , during which Mihawk give him Luffy ’s bountifulness poster . A similar scene happens in the gum anime , after which Shanks only shows up one C of episodes afterwards .
( … ) there is aOne Piecemanga Easter egg suggesting Shanks was in Arabasta during the war .
While it would be cool to see Shanks cope with Luffy again now that the latter is a famous pirate , this has yet to find in the anime after over a thousand episodes . In other words , Shanks and Luffy will utterly not run into each other if Netflix’sOne Piecewants to keep the show close to the root material . However , there is aOne Piecemanga Easter orchis suggesting Shanks was in Arabastaduring the warfare , so he might show up in time of year 2 without breaking canon after all .

3Kuro
Kuro has been a no-show since his defeat
Captain Kuro of a Thousand Plans was one of the four main antagonists Luffy encountered duringOne Pieceseason 1 . WhileKuro did not eat on a Devil Fruit , he had some particular abilities that made him a rather tricky villain to be defeated . Just like in the anime and the manga , live - action mechanism Luffy defeat Kuro by using one of the many Gum Gum technique that the Straw Hat literary pirate had upon his sleeve . Despite his defeat , Kuro survived and escaped on a gravy holder .
One Piece season 2 should be very different from the first time of year considering where Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat pirates are going next .
Even though Kuro is still alive by the conclusion of his fight with Luffy , the villain never appears again inOne Piece . It is unclear what befall to Kuro after he fled from Syrup Village , although some people were still under the impression that he had been killed by Axe - Hand Morgan several years ago . Kuro is part of a special list ofOne Piececharacters who were never bring up again after their narrative was over , meaning he will most likely not be inOne Pieceseason 2 .
2Kaya
Kaya and Usopp still haven’t reunited in the anime
Kaya , Usopp ’s just friend from Syrup Village , only has a few appearances in the manga after Kuro is defeated . While one of them technically happens during the Arabasta saga , it was not part of the main story but rather a B - storyline from the Jango ’s Dance Paradise cover account . Kaya would go on to pursue her dream of becoming a medico , but she has yet to reunify with Usopp . The scene in which Kaya watch Luffy ’s bounty poster only happens after Enies Lobby in the manga , whereas in the live - action show , she ascertain it at the closing of season 1 .
Even if the show revisit Kaya , she and Usopp can not meet each other again .
Another of import dispute between the live - action show and the anime is that Kaya and Usopp kiss in the former . This does not find in the anime , whereas the relationship between Kaya and Usopp is more platonic . However , since these two have yet to reunify in the source fabric , it would be a mistake for Netflix’sOne Pieceto have Usopp and Kaya meet again anytime soon . Even if the show revisits Kaya , she and Usopp can not each other again .
1Arlong
Arlong is alive, but don’t expect him to show up
Arlong live on his combat against Luffy , at least accord to the gum anime . One Piecenever properly disclose what bump to Arlong after Luffy get the better of him , though , although it is safe to say he is being hold on a prisoner somewhere . Arlong does appear again in theOne Pieceanime , but in flashbacks that inflate the traditional knowledge of the Fish - Men and show the origins of Arlong Park . While Fish - Men Island take on an authoritative role inOne Piece , Arlong ’s grandness to the report ends in East Blue .
Although Arlong will likely not show up again in the Netflix series , some authoritative Fish - Men will come along in next seasons .
Much of Arlong ’s account inOne Piecehad to do withNami ’s character arc , which was covered during the final two episodes of the live - action show . Although Arlong will likely not show up again in the Netflix serial , some important fish - men will appear in next seasons . One of them , Jinbe , was even reference by Arlong when the sea rover was speak about a Fish - Man who is also one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea . Another important fish - world inOne Pieceis Tom , who should seem whenever Netflix’sOne Piecegets to Water 7 .
