The show likely could have extend filming , as Padalecki did after breaking his deal shoot another instalment that featured vampires , but a serious injury would have been an egress for Stashwick and Ackles alike . While groundless , Stashwick ’s initial response was capture in the season ’s DVD extras and stay a part of the show ’s complicated history .
