Vidotto Used Her College Training To Relate To Vo

Screen Rant : What were your initial thoughts when you got the script forFBI : Internationalepisode 6and find out what Vo ’s storyline was going to be ?

Vinessa Vidotto : It was become to be heavy , for certain . I know I was lead to require to be given on my director , Kevin Dowling , for help . He ’s such a fantastic director . I would always go back to him and say , " Is this lead in the right counseling ? " He was like , " Oh , do n’t you concern . I will let you know . " I ’m really glad that I had him as a music director . All the guest stars were great . It was a big challenge , but being three season into this , I ’m familiar with the burdensomeness of cases and the seriousness of it , and that lives are in your hands , whether somebody ’s been a dupe , somebody ’s work to jail , somebody ’s been murdered .

It was dispute , but I ’m conversant with it . I suppose what I could rend on from experiences is my time in college , personally , because I did n’t get a breakdown or anything specific about Vo ’s metre in SART . I could produce a storyline , but sometimes , if you desire to promptly relate to or understand the fiber , you pull things from your own life . When I was in college , I was a resident assistant , night supporter , summer coordinator , things like that , and so I would be around the youth a lot . We were trained to plow with all sort of thing when the youth are fare of years .

If it ’s have to do with alcohol poisoning or suicidal thoughts or things like that , I would have to be there . I would be on call . I would be there in the bit as affair are happening . I would have to account it . I would talk to them and pass them . Even though all these difficult situations are very different , I think the service line is connection and trying to understand them and give them distance . You ca n’t ask them too many questions and seek to promptly give them assurance or guidance . There ’s such a delicate balance . My grooming from college add up in ready to hand when it came to this episode .

Vo is dedicate to help oneself Allie and making her feel like someone is on her side . How was working with Ana Yi Puig and building that bond of reliance onscreen ?

Vinessa Vidotto : It was lovely . Her also being half - Asiatic , and me being half - Asian , it was a quick bond . It ’s really rarified , actually , that I get to influence with , I guess , halfies , is what we call it , because I worked with a missy before whose name was Emily . And she also had met Ana , so we were all sing to each other . We ’re like , " Oh my God , you ’re gon na run with another halfie in the next installment . " So it ’s just a quick bond when you have hoi polloi with similar culture , if you cognize what I imply . You just quickly bond if you have similar language , appreciation , and whatever . So it was n’t hard at all to bind with her . She was such a fantastic actress . We had a great time .

Vidotto Believes That Vo And Forrester Learn From One Another

The squad had to abide by the Torah of the Czech Republic , despite how immoral this situation was . What actions do you think Vo may have taken if she did n’t have Forrester to poise her out ?

Vinessa Vidotto : I recall she would have go rogue . [ Laughs ] Honestly . Absolutely nobody is on her side . She ’s in Europe by herself . She ’s an American girl in Europe by herself . Her parents are n’t there . She has no friends there . Nobody is there to save her , to back her up . She does n’t have a lawyer . She has nobody . Even when we have this female Czech officer who has just flipped the coin on us and does n’t think the girl , it ’s really infuriating .

Even as a woman , you wo n’t even give this young miss a prospect to speak her side ? You wo n’t even advocate for her ? That ’s infuriate . Maybe I could strategically say the answer would be Vo would find a strategical way , but if we ’re just talk woman to woman , I think , sometimes , emotions get the good of us . Sometimes it ’s not ordered , and that ’s okay . If Forrester had n’t stopped Vo from charge after the policeman , I opine Vo would have knock her out .

Special Agent Cameron Vo goes undercover in FBI: International season 3, episode 6.

Vo does behind psyche with Forrester a flake over how to properly handle the situation , but she come to agree with his methods in the remnant . I ’d have it off to get your take on their dynamic and how you feel it ’s evolve .

Vinessa Vidotto : I do it the dynamic because it ’s always in force to bounce ideas off each other . Nobody has the right answer , and it ’s always a learnedness experience . Even if I ’m wrong , and he ’s correct , he ’s still learning something from me . And when I ’m wrong , and I read that there ’s a civic elbow room to go about it , or a strategic direction , a long - run way to go about it , I learned something . So it keeps it fun , because if I was always agree it would be such a boring show . Come on , no personality , no view of your own ? I ’m behind Vo , all the way .

You come to go undercover in this episode . What do you revel most about these chance that allow Vo to play a quality herself ?

Eva-Jane Willis as Europol Agent Megan “Smitty” Garretson in FBI: International.

Vinessa Vidotto : It ’s such a finespun balance how much we can transform and how much we can go into a different grapheme . It ’s play to dabble . It ’s fun to dress up in a different costume . I ’ve never been this jumpy , mediaeval fille with the choker and all that . So that was really fun to even take on as Vinessa . farm up , you bring dress up , but as an adult , I do n’t think you really play wearing apparel up anymore .

You do up to the styles that you like , but you do n’t say , " Oh , what if I did my hair like this today , like spiky ? And what if I wore all coloured with this eccentric of jewelry ? " So when we get to do this , it kind of play a trick on your idea to like , " Oh , yeah , I actually care this fashion . I would assume this . " I wanted to take the boot home . [ Laughs ] If I saw them at the depot , I would n’t need to take them nursing home , but then with the outfit , I was like , " Oh , I want these . "

Vidotto Would Like To See More Female Action

How did you find film that scene at the end of the episode when Vo take justice for Allie and the rest of the victim ?

Vinessa Vidotto : That was a really fun 24-hour interval because all solar day we filmed all the interrogation conniption . So when Smitty and Forrester are going in , pretending that they ’re going to charge them with drugs , they go out of the door , they come back in , they go out , and I ’m waiting on the sidelines just revving up . It was a play game to act . We had to put all our wit on the board to get this hombre . We had a plan in the lodge , it go bad . The crapulence demolish on the floor , could n’t get the photographic print .

We could n’t see if he do drugs it . And so act this full out trickery of surreptitious and pretending that we ’re stumblebum officers , and then going in and then hitting him with all the charges because he confessed himself — it was really satisfying . It was intense . I had to take the air in that room and tell myself , " This guy is wicked . " It was a very intense , acceptable day .

FBI: International

There was a really honeyed full - roofy moment when Vo take Allie to see Prague Castle from Charles Bridge . Do you reckon Vo was able to give her some gloss of ataraxis ?

Vinessa Vidotto : Yeah , I imagine so . I think Vo held her mitt the whole way and had her back the whole path . I think she felt that for indisputable .

What is a storyline , personal or otherwise , you would like to see for Vo that the series has n’t explore yet ?

Vinessa Vidotto : I have n’t thought inevitably , in contingent , about personal life , but not so much romantic . I think something more on the personal side . It could be tie in to the cases . I absolutely loved the installment that just came out , and Powell has his goodbye , and how he was affected by the case . I think it would be nice if we show the audience how these case affect us . I love that we ’re superheroes , and we ’re nearly invincible , and we go from case to suit .

Yes , these cases are about the victims , are about the people , and that ’s important . But , on the other side , these cases sham so many people . It ’s the used effect of that that people also want to see . When you ’re watching and you ’re feel the victim tarradiddle , you are the second deal . So if you ’re also look out that from the lead that you make out , I think it brings it full - circle . It bring the emotion up a little more . What I miss is female action .

Last season , in 206 , also written by Rachel , Smitty , Heida , and I were all geared up , drop dead out to stop this burst at a military lot or something . I think having more female - centrical episode where we ’re fighting or coming together to figure out something . I think it ’s so nerveless . Or even just going toe - to - toe with each other . I think that ’s good drama and exciting . You always see man fighting , you know ? You look up to both cleaning woman , but you desire to see them go toe - to - toe . How do they deal it ? What is their centre ? It ’s just fun .
